Hello, I’m Ophelia Baxter – Welcome to My Little Corner of the Internet.
Well, here we are. After years of hovering on the edge of writing a blog, I’ve finally taken the plunge—and I couldn’t be more excited (and a tiny bit nervous) to introduce myself.
My name is Ophelia Baxter. I’m a forty-something mum originally from the bustling heart of London, now living a much quieter (and muddier) life in the countryside. I share this life with my brilliant husband, our wonderful son, three mischievous cats, and a dog who thinks she’s the head of the household. Spoiler: she might be.
Life out here moves at a slower pace—but don’t let that fool you. Between raising a growing boy, wrangling pets, and keeping up with the never-ending to-do list of family life, there’s rarely a dull moment. I’ve traded in the city lights for starry skies, and along the way, I’ve found a deep love for nature, cozy moments, and the joy that comes from simplicity.
This blog is a space for all the beautiful, messy, funny, and heartfelt bits of life. A place to share stories, reflect on motherhood, explore the changing rhythms of life as we grow, and connect with others who might find a piece of themselves here, too. I’m not here to pretend I have it all figured out—far from it. But I believe in finding beauty in the chaos, humour in the hard days, and magic in the little things.
